Nausea ("La Nausée") by Jean-Paul Sartre

"I have lead a toothless life,
I have never bitten into anything. I was waiting,
I was reserving myself for later on, and I have just noticed my teeth are gone."

-Hopefully this is self explanatory: Chase your dreams now

This project is my guide to life, my Bible of sorts—a reminder to keep me on track, avoiding all the pitfalls that may pop up. I welcome you to read and benefit from this guide too, as I will be posting all the things I wish someone had told me sooner.

I'll start by breaking down key aspects of "How to stay Broke" that way, you can have a clear an concise understanding of some of the pitfalls people fall into, as avoiding them makes being successful inevitable, and you'll see just how easy it is to achieve your goals.

"Limiting Beliefs" and Why They're "Right"

Limiting beliefs are the small comments we make, usually easily justifiable. You've definitely heard them, and may have even said them. They sound a bit like this: "You’re not committed, ambitious, or smart enough." "If you're lucky..." "You don't have enough money to start." They are negative, easy to elaborate on, and seem right—because, of course, they are.

They are right, right now. Only after you've done the thing, after you prove them wrong, are they wrong. If I said you can't drive a car, I'd be right for all the years until you can—until you take all the lessons, pass the tests, and prove me wrong. However, if you believed me and didn't try, I'd be right forever. The problem with limiting beliefs is that it takes little effort to be right and can take years to be proven wrong. But like driving or riding a bike, if you are consistent and keep working at anything, you eventually achieve the desired outcome.

Man and Superman (1903). by George Bernard Shaw

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

They're Not Only Wrong but Damaging.

How would you fight if I told you a battle was unwinnable? You wouldn't.
If I told you to write a story, knowing full well no one is going to read it and it'll be burnt after you're done, you'd probably give me two lines of text and say, "What's the point?" (a phrase you've undoubtedly heard before). That is the effect of limiting beliefs. You are unable to even find the energy to persevere because there is no point—why play if you're guaranteed to lose?
Versus if I told you, "You can't lose—if you don't give up," that no matter what, you will win—you'd fight for hours, write pages upon pages of stories, because you know someone is going to read it, there will be a payoff, and you'll win.

Everybody is motivated when the finish line is within reach.

The truth that no one tells you is "If you actually try your best you cant lose"

Build Belief

You walk because you know you can and have seen others do so. You cross the road because you have seen others do so without injury, despite the risk. Some things you do because you've seen them done, and you know it's possible. Despite there being risks, you know the chance of success is high, so you take it. But if I took away those examples of success, you may turn around and tell me it's impossible.

We all know that achieving our vision for our lives is possible; the evidence for that is in the origin of what made us dream it in the first place. The hard part is gaining enough evidence or cases to prove to ourselves that it's not only possible, but it's possible for us. Make it your mission to see as many people as you can, not only living but striving for the life you want. Surround yourself with them if you can, because, like walking or crossing the road, you've got to see everyone around you walking to want to attempt it.

Limiting beliefs say "There are no roads to success "
